Almond Crunch

Here were go, I've actually made this recipe before and tweaked it a little. My mother's version has almonds in it as you can see the recipes is named after it, this time mine does not. Usually I do have almonds but my poor dad forgot to buy them, and got in trouble because of that. So the other thing I do to this recipe is add 1/4 to 1/2 more of everything in the boiling section (keeping them the same proportions.) Doing that makes the Almond Crunch, ha ironic I have no almonds but anyway it makes the candy coated with lots more sweet carmely taste. This is probably my favorite recipe for the holidays. That is partly why I picked this, but also because I was craving it. I ended up using 3 cookie sheets and both full boxes of cereal.
